Part Time Kids Director | Arlington Campus | 10-15 hours a week
  • 10-15 hours per week (could be done in-person on Sunday and through Zoom for any other meetings during the week)
  • Recruit, train, & equip volunteers
  • Oversee Sunday AM – Nursery, Preschool, & Elementary (we have a paid nursery worker)
  • Schedule & prepare volunteers for a dynamic Sunday program during the 10 & 11am hours
  • Communicate well with Parents, Sunday mornings, and digitally during the week
  • Maintain a safe, fun, engaging, consistent Sunday morning experience 
  • Partner with the Next Gen team and the Cordova Campus for curriculum, resources, & combined large group events
  • Meet weekly (can be done on Zoom) with Next Gen team and Arlington Campus pastor for coordination and direction

 

You will receive ministry coaching from an experienced pastor and work alongside a Next Gen team of 4-6 staff. We are happy to set this up with an official internship credit if it is needed.

Part Time Youth Director | Arlington Campus | 10-20 hours a week
  • 10-20 hours per week (could be done in-person on Sunday and through Zoom for any other meetings during the week)
  • Relational ministry with students & parents in Arlington
  • Recruit, train, & develop volunteers
  • Oversee & coordinate weekly youth group gatherings on Sunday evening in partnership with Cordova Campus Next Gen team
  • Oversee learning groups on Sunday mornings
  • Reach out to local students through relationships, presence, support
  • Meet weekly (can be done on Zoom) with Next Gen team and Arlington Campus pastor for coordination and direction
  • Partner with Cordova Campus for some combined large group events, trips and retreats

Summer Internship & Development Program
  • 10 weeks averaging 30 hours a week
  • This internship is paid $3500 for the summer (we can assist with a host home if needed)
  • Focus areas are: youth, kids, production/design, worship, rec ministry

 

Our goal is to see you flourish and develop in your leadership and ministry skills. You will be given hands-on opportunities to engage in impactful ministry and we will come alongside you with coaching, training, feedback and encouragement. The leadership you learn here will transfer to any field you find yourself entering for a career. But more importantly, you will find relationships with your cohort and our staff that last a lifetime.

 

As an intern you will:

  • Be an active part of a cohort of interns looking to grow, learn, and serve
  • Attend a weekly meeting for development, planning and prayer
  • Work with an Advent Church pastor or director in one ministry focus area: youth | kids | production & design | worship | rec ministry
  • Prepare for, help lead, and clean up from large events and trips (i.e. VBS, High School & Middle School trips, etc.)
  • Attend a retreat designed just for interns where you’ll receive training, and spiritual development
